Tracey Rogers RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician, Office Manager

Tracey joined the practice in October 2011. She attended the veterinary technician program at Seneca College and graduated in 2003. Following her graduation, Tracey completed her registration exam with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians and has been a member in good standing ever since. Within the practice, Tracey enjoys working with the veterinarians during surgery and anesthesia and has also taken on the challenging role of Office Manager. At home, Tracey and her husband keep busy with their young daughter and son, as well as their Labrador puppy Toothless and 2 cats Sweet and Spicy. Tracey grew up in Orillia, and enjoys spending her time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors with camping and kayaking and quilting when the weather is not co-operative.

Betty Boop
Assistant Manager, Quality Control and Security

Betty joined the practice in June 2019 after hearing of a vacancy for the live-in role. She enjoys spending her days assisting Tracey with paperwork, ensuring quality pet care by sampling the staff’s scratches and snuggles,  and quality control of the staff lunches/pet foods.

She is sure to be found joining us at our morning and afternoon rounds daily to keep apprised of the days tasks. She can also be found enjoying any sunny spots throughout the clinic or trying to comfort the patients in the hospital.

Krista LaRochelle, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician

Krista joined the practice in 2016 and after graduating from the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College. She has enjoyed learning in all aspects of the clinic and is a Registered Veterinary Technician in good standing. She has a talent for dental radiography and is always willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

In her spare time Krista enjoys spending time at her family cottage, kayaking and spending quality time with her thoroughbred mare Ange.

When at home she enjoys the company of her loving cat Maisie.

Marley Atkinson, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician

Marley joined the practice as a 1st year co-op student from Northern College in June 2021 and returned in February 2022 for her 2nd year co-op placement. After graduating in May 2022 Marley joined the practice as a full time staff member.  Marley enjoys lab work, blood collection, radiographs and seeing all of the different patients that come into the clinic. She always tries to say a hello and give a few scratches before the patients enter the exam rooms for their appointments. She is always interested in learning anything new and is willing to jump in to lend a hand whenever needed.
In her free time Marley likes to go out on hikes and outdoor adventures with her friends, family or dogs. She is also interested in pursuing Northern College’s wildlife rehabilitation continuing education program at some point in the future.

Shiloh Covey, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician

Shiloh joined the practice in 2022 after graduating with honours from the Georgian College Veterinary Technician program. She is an RVT who has always taken interest in animals big, small, soft, scaly, and feathered! She became an RVT because of her passion for veterinary medicine, and genuinely loves the connections she makes with the animals she works with and their families. In her spare time she loves to travel, watch spooky movies, do anything active outdoors and study her tiny insect and arachnid friends.

She is also an artist who hand beads animal skulls and bones she ethically sources and prepares to create unique pieces of art. In a way she works with animals in all life stages!

Chelsea Rutledge
Client Care Representative

Chelsea joined the practice in December 2019 after working in an emergency clinic for 5 years. Having gone to Georgian College for Indigenous Studies & Community Development and a year at Lakehead University for Social Work she decided that her calling was to help animals, not people. Having volunteered in several shelters and rescues, the veterinary world was an easy transition.

When Chelsea is not at the clinic, she can be found at home with her husband, two cats, and dog or at the barn spending time with her horse.

Sarah McGowan
Client Care Representative

Sarah joined the practice in June 2018 and has been working at the clinic every summer since.  She just finished the third year of her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph, and will be applying to the Ontario Veterinary College in the fall. She has enjoyed learning in all aspects of the clinic, with special focus on client care and veterinary assistance. Sarah especially enjoys shadowing the veterinarians, observing surgeries and lending a hand to the technicians whenever needed.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys horseback riding, spending time at home with her three dogs, cat and bird, and hiking with her Australian Shepherd, Caia.

Tara McGarvey
Client Care Representative

Tara graduated from the Centre for Distance Education Medical Office Assistant program and is so excited to transfer those skills into a fulfilling career in veterinary medicine. As a lifelong advocate and lover of animals this felt like the perfect way to honour her passion and contribute to the community that she lives in and loves.
When at home, Tara enjoys spending family time with her husband and 4 children, along with her dog Luke and kitty Merlin. She likes to spend her time working in the garden, boating, and baking!
