Dr. Kathy Marchildon

DVM, Practice Owner

Dr. Kathy completed her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1995, and went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 from the University of Guelph, Ontario Veterinary College.  Born and raised in Orillia, Kathy decided to open the practice in 2006. As a veterinarian, Kathy enjoys working with each pet owner to strengthen the human-animal bond. Focusing on preventative healthcare, Kathy has a strong interest in veterinary nutrition, and finds gratification within her work knowing that she has been a part of such a special bond between a pet and their owner.

An integral and very important part of veterinary medicine is continuing education. Dr. Kathy enjoys attending many lectures and conferences, which are provided by the OVMA and GBVA. Kathy and her husband have two children and keep busy with many extracurricular activities including karate, dance, music, hockey and lacrosse. In her spare time, she enjoys camping with her family and reading.  Her furry family includes Gary, a Potcake rescue dog and two very handsome Guinea pigs named Cornelius and Yukon.
